Important Information

The Austrian health system is among the world‘s best and offers nearly all therapies possible. Organ transplantation for foreign nationals, however, requires special consideration.

In order to be able to create a personalized examination and therapy program, you will need to submit all available and relevant medical data (physicians’ letters, examination results, surgery reports, etc.). We will need translated copies in German and English. We do offer translation services at an additional fee. Of course, all information will be treated confidentially.

Most requests are usually processed within 48 hours. In case of more complex treatments, response time might take longer.

Initially, you contact us either via our request form, email, or phone and provide us with all your relevant medical documents. Then, your individual examination and therapy plan is designed and we will provide you with our recommendations regarding physicians and medical facilities together with an itemized cost proposal. If you accept, you will receive an invoice for advance payment. Payment for most of the estimated expenses will need to be transferred prior to beginning your treatment(s). You will be provided with all pertinent information concerning medical facilities and your physician(s). We will personally attend to you during your stay in Austria. If necessary, you will be accompanied by an interpreter. At the end of your treatment you will receive your final invoice. You only pay for the treatment(s) you receive. If your initial payment was higher than the actual costs incurred, you will be reimbursed for the balance of the amount. Should, during your treatment(s), the actual expenses increase due to unforeseeable circumstances or due to your own special requests, you will be notified in advance and will be charged with the remaining balance. We will be available for phone or email support after your return home.

We will accompany you throughout the duration of your stay in Austria independently of the fact if you organize your travel schedule yourself or if you would like us to assist you with your travel plans. A member of our staff will always be available to help you with any questions and concerns you might have.

An advance payment is generally done via bank transfer prior to your arrival. You also have the option of paying by credit card in Austria. Most private clinics and rehabilitation centers allow direct bank transfers for your payment. For organizational reasons, treatments in public hospitals can frequently not be paid directly. Therefore, TOP OF CARE will handle the payment and then get reimbursement from the patient. If requested, payments can be organized via an Austrian trust account, the fees for which are charged to the patient. The processing fee must be transferred directly to TOP OF CARE prior to your arrival.
